Leaving Out Our Flipper Marks

How Miami affects sea turtles and what we can do to help.

We wanted to draw attention to the importance of sea turtle conservation, and that's the reason for the #SaveTheSeaTurtlesMIA project. Miami being a city on the water, a lot of what Miamians do directly affect the marine life so it's crucial for people to understand that conservation is important.

Although sea turtles are more prominent north of Miami, there are still instances of sea turtle nesting along the coast. Not littering becomes super important if you want to help sea life.

Miami locals and tourists can also support by donating directly to organizations like SeeTurtles.org or by supporting foundations that give a portion of profits to sea turtle foundations- such as Makai Clothing Co. Hopefully, the message spreads and more young people in this generation get involved in conserving the sea and saving nature's innocent creatures.
